The Legal System in the Middle Ages

The legal system was very harsh in Medieval England. The ones that were in charge of law and order believed that people would only learn how to behave properly it they feared what would happen to them if they broke the law. Even the smallest offences had serious punishments. A person who was accused had to go through and ordeal. Henry ll improved the system of law by sending his own judges from London to listen to cases throughout all England’s countries.
